Security

Security

  • GDPR compliance; FrontDoor Inbox servers are hosted within the EU by default. Upon request, your instance of the server can be hosted in Sweden, Finland, Germany, the Netherlands, Spain, Singapore, or the United Kingdom.
  • High-grade HTTPS/SSL encryption; all aspects of the user interface is accessed via HTTPS/SSL encrypted pages.
  • Authentication via Google or Nextcloud; user accounts can be verified using OAuth2 via Google or Nextcloud, allowing simplified account and password management.
  • IMAP over SSL; every connection to the inbound e-mail server uses encrypted IMAP sessions.
  • Outbound TLS preferred; when delivering outbound e-mail, FrontDoor Inbox will favor encrypted connections with the destination server. By default, we will send outbound e-mail via our Halon spam protection gateway.
  • Secure hosting; all FrontDoor Inbox servers are hosted on dedicated Linux servers, using up-to-date components, system firewalls, intrusion monitoring, and automated backups.
  • Closed and obsolete conversations can be permanently removed on schedule, allowing you to control data retention as per your requirements.

Workflow

Workflow

  • Setup queues ("folder") to categorize conversations and allow specific access by operators to such queues.
  • Configure advanced e-mail parser rules to automatically assign conversations to queues based on content and origin.
  • Canned responses can be setup for each queue to allow for automated replies indicating message reception. These automatic responses can also be inhibited by the parser rules and/or queue settings.
  • Close until; operators may close a conversation until a specific date, at which point they are automatically re-opened to remind the operator to complete the conversation or check in with your client.
  • Signatures; separate operator message signatures, separate queue signatures, and global system wide signatures can be configured. Operator signatures can be disabled.
  • Inhibit auto-responses to auto-responses; FrontDoor Inbox detects automatically generated e-mails and inhibits its auto-response handling for such e-mails.
  • Merge conversation parts about the same issue into a single conversation thread.
  • Use Nextcloud with FrontDoor Inbox to allow files and documents to be attached to conversations.
